Special Events

A few months ago, I was asked to do a photo session with CEO Adam Nelson of Workhouse Publication, for Zink Magazine’s upcoming April 2010 Men’s issue. The shoot was absolutely awesome.

Today, I was the official photographer for AutismSpeaks.org. I had the wonderful pleasure of following Bob Wright and Suzanne Wright around New York City and be their personal photographer to observe the Light It Up Blue campaign and the  beginning of Autism Awareness Month. Along the way, we met people of the likes of Yoko Ono, Tommy Hilfiger and co-Host of Bravo’s Top Chef Tom Colicchio. Bob Wright, the former president and CEO of NBC and vice chairman of GE until May 2008, along with his wife Suzanne Wright, founded Autism Speaks in 2004 after their grandchild was diagnosed with autism. Enjoy!

2010 FSF Geoffrey Beene Fashion Scholarship Awards Dinner at Cipriani Forty Second Street

January 13, 2010.

Today, I was the photographer for the 2010 FSF (Fashion Scholarship Fund) Geoffrey Beene Fashion Scholarship Awards Dinner at Cipriani Forty Second Street. The venue, Cipriani Forty Second Street is absolutely one of the most beautiful places I’ve been to. Master of ceremonies, Mary Alice Stephenson, was beautiful as always. I always love to photograph portraits of her. The FSF gave away $25K to 4 students today to help jump start their fashion careers. Below are some my favorite photos from the event. Enjoy!

December 3, 2009 – Interview with Watch Designer Peter Stas – Frederique Constant – Geneve

Today I was invited to photograph the latest collection of luxury watches by designer Peter Stas. The private event was held at the Brasserie Ruhlmann at Rockefeller Plaza, one day after the famous tree lighting ceremony. Below are some of my favorites from the session.

This past Monday, I had the opportunity to photograph the 17th Annual Feast with Famous Faces at the Lighthouse at Pier 61, Chelsea Piers, a culinary gala hosted by the Center for Hearing and Communication where top New York City chefs prepared some of their delicious signature dishes. Notable chefs that participated in this event included William Gallagher from Becco, Food Network chef Alexandra Guarnaschelli from Butter, Carmine Marletta from the Intercontinental Barclay Bar and Grill, and Dale Talde from Buddakan (who was on Top Chef’s Season 4).
That night’s best dishes included an absolutely decadent and creamy lobster bisque with warm gougères expertly prepared by Brasserie Cognac’s chef Florian Hugo, a heavenly jumbo crab cake by chef Anthony Walton from the Central Park Boathouse, Carmine’s yummy eggplant parmigiana, and a mouthwatering pork spare riblet with sweet potato bourbon mash by Hill Country.
It was a soap opera star-studded night with celebrity chair of Feast with Famous Faces, Kassie DePaiva from One Life to Live (OLTL), Michael Easton from OLTL, Bobbie Eakes from All My Children (AMC), Jamie Luner from AMC, and Alexandra Chando from As the World Turns in attendance.

June 4, 2009 – “Red Light Charity Cocktail Reception” – Event photography by Josh Wong Photography

Tonight I was invited to photograph a red carpet charity cocktail event at the glamorous and trendy Japanese restaurant and lounge, Japonais, found in the heart of New York City’s Union Square. This very important charity event was hosted by Marie Claire magazine and Priority Films with the proceeds going to the RedLight Children Campaign which seeks to increase awareness and fight the war on child sexual exploitation, human trafficking, and slavery.

I had the opportunity to photograph the FEED Project Tea Party at the National Arts Club in the Gramercy Park area of New York City. The event was hosted by Lauren and Sharon Bush to introduce the new addition to the FEED Project family, the FEED bear! Lauren developed the FEED bear with her mom, Sharon Bush who runs Teddy Share, a charitable bear company. The profits from each bear will provide Plumpy’nut (a peanut paste with vitamins and minerals created by Industrial Revelation) to malnourished children in East Africa. Celebrities that attended this event included Ashley Bush, David Lauren, Tracy Stern, Dylan Lauren (Dylan’s Candy Bar), Ricky Lauren (wife of Ralph Lauren) and Navyn Salem (Industrial Revelation).
